Blow-up

This post is going to be brief because I am in the midst of writing a paper and studying for an exam. This is a larger version of one of the Klimtian Copies posted below (8.5 x 11 rather than 4 x 6). It's in acrylic paint with white and colored paper cut-outs. The two versions look quite different in life, but not so different digitally, which I find somewhat interesting.

Caitlin, one of the two versions is upside-down relative to the other; I admit to not being familiar enough with Klimt to know which.

Yes, I decided to flip this one the other way. These are inspired by the pattern-y backgrounds of his paintings, but the reference is vague enough not to require a specific direction. Most of them could be oriented any way and still be okay, at least in terms of their relationship to Klimt. Compositional strength is another matter!

I like this very much ... perhaps would like to see some tonal variations in the white scrolls ...brush play ... brush pressure, thickness of stroke ... ya dig?
